The town of Karacabey has a very long and deep-rooted history. In earlier times, it continued to exist as a city of Miletepolis, and then came under Byzantine rule.


When the Byzantine Empire was reigned, the name of this region was called Mihaliç. After that, the Kingdom of Britain was dominated by the sovereignty and the sovereignty changed completely. Karacabey district of Bursa became a Turkish land under the patronage of Ottoman Empire.
