Iznik is an open air museum which is unique in the world with its historical buildings. Every aspect is an ancient region. The region has been inhabited since prehistoric times.


As a result of the excavations, many Prehistoric finds have emerged and atthe same time, it has been proven that there is a life here in prehistoric mounds.

It was home to multicultural societies such as Byzantine and Roman times, and then joined the Ottoman lands and later became a Turkish land thanks to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, our Great Leader.


In the southeast is İznik Lake. Here,different and modern social facility areas are built and the local people and visitors will have a more enjoyable time.
