B.C. Founded in the year of 500 under the name of Metyos, Konya's Doganhisar district has opened its doors to many societies such as Byzantines, Umayyads and Abbasids. One of the most frequented spots in the district is the grave of Seyit Ahmet, who was martyred in times of war.

This area, which had been under Turkish rule in 1100, has become one of the passage points of important civilizations such as Seljuk Turks and Karamanogullari. Approximately 122 km. is a district located in the west.

The social facilities and enterprises in the region were the most used places during the touristic visits. In order not to disturb the historical texture and natural beauties of the district, places such as cafes, hotels and restaurants contribute to the cultural heritage by using wooden concept materials. For this reason, wooden bar chairs are preferred instead of aluminum chairs. The people of the region cannot help themselves to protect the cultural heritage of the district in every way.
